I used the digital thermometer in each one of my chest freezers. And I am glad that I did, since one was above zero degrees Fahrenheit.
I monitored the current temperature and also any temperature fluctuations. The thermometer is powered by two button batteries which are included in the box.
I installed them easily, since the battery compartment has down printed inside. The round battery door is a turn style that has a coin notch.
The temperature refresh rate is 30 seconds. The temperature range is minus 4 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature tolerance is plus or minus 0.9 degrees Fahrenheit from 32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit or else plus or minus 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit.
The display is 3.15625 inches x 1.78125 inches x 0.625 inches. the current temperature numbers are large and easy to read.
There are two buttons located on the back. One for power which also controls Fahrenheit or Celsius and one for clearing out the minimum and maximum recorded temperature.
Sometimes the cold temperature in the freezer would stop the clear button from working. At times, I had to power it off and on to get it to clear.
The thermometer display can be back lit orange, which made it easier to read in dim lighting. The light icon is located on the front top center and is touch activated.
I found that the cold temperature in the freezer would sometimes stop the light touch activation from working.
The thermometer has a folding hook that turns it into a stand. There is also a magnet on the back. I just layed the thermometer on top of what I had frozen.

So, these thermometers are actually pretty awesome. I’ll admit, when I first set them up, I was like, “Seriously? Why are these temps way off?”
But after leaving them for a few hours to settle in, they were super accurate, and now I totally trust them. Pro tip: just give them a minute to acclimate, and you’re good to go.
The design is super flexible—like, they come with this little folding hook that you can adjust or even remove, and there’s a strong magnet on the back too.
I love having options, you know? Plus, they’ve got this backlight thing. You just touch the light button on the front, and it’s perfect for when you’re digging around in your fridge at midnight.
oh, and the screen is really easy to read, which is great because I definitely don’t need to squint to figure out if my ice cream is safe.
The setup was totally painless—the batteries came included (thank you for that), and popping them in was simple, even if my nails made it a tiny bit tricky.
I also like that it tracks the highest and lowest temps so I can keep tabs on my fridge or freezer, especially during power outages. And switching between Fahrenheit and Celsius is as easy as hitting a button.
The only downside is that even with all of the mounting options,nothing worked for me. The inside surfaces of my fridge are plastic, and there is nothing for the hanger to connect to (on the shelves).
