I like the size of this board but I'm disappointed that I'm sure it won't last because the board isn't sealed. The raw wood lightly splinters. It's not a smooth surface.This is not like the bamboo cutting boards I've seen in other stores. Also it's not as thick as I thought it would be.I have to now purchase another one. thanks for nothing!

This works exactly as it said. Found out blueberries DO stain it (lol),but most of the stain washed off. I will have many years of daily use of the cutting board. I would buy it again. And I would also buy it as a gift. Love the color of the stain, also.

I live in a quintessential 120 year old New York City apartment with a tiny kitchen. The only prep space is a double sink with one 18"x18" inch 60 year old sliding metal tray that covers one half of the sink. Its always been a nightmare to prep food but I finally found this 20"x 30"cutting board that fits perfectly over both sinks with a 1 1/2" gap to allow liquid to roll off the board into the sink. It more than doubles my prep space. So to celebrate I made Beef Stroganoff as soon as I had oiled the board and didn't have to move, put away or clean anything while I was making the dish. This may seem silly to the rest of America which enjoys more normal sized kitchens but for those of us in NYC with spaces the size of a closet, this board is a JOY!!!

The Hiware Extra Large Bamboo Cutting Board is fairly decent in size at 18" x 12" and offers a good working surface for chopping and meal prep. I appreciate that it's made from 100% organic bamboo and comes pre-oiled, which gives it a nice finish. Though, it is indeed quite lightweight, which makes me question its durability for heavy-duty chopping tasks. One major issue is that the board absorbs water easily, especially when rinsing or cutting juicy fruits and vegetables. Given that bamboo can absorb moisture, I worry it might develop mold or fungus over time if not properly dried after each use. This could reduce its lifespan, so it requires extra care. For the price, it's just okay—good for light tasks but not ideal for more intense kitchen use.

The other side has a stainless steel surface solves all of my bacteria concerns regarding meat on a cutting board. It can also be used for thawing. I look forward to trying that feature too. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Some people may want to put a towel under it to prevent slipping. We will probably order more in other sizes. Be careful, there are some that look the same but are stainless steel, which would dull your knives. The titanium has been wonderful.
