Pretty good product.It certainly isn't Tupperware but you aren't paying the Tupperware price either. Also the Tupperware version only has one lid, forcing you to store all burgers in a single stack.These containers each have an individual lid and even though they aren't super easy to use they are good enough. I wish I could get more of these containers without the press. If you need to make more than 4 you can always stack the burgers with paper in between and use a bag or different storage container.
Another review complained of misshapen burgers and the parts not fitting together right. The only way I can see this happening is if you try to insert the ring in the container upside-down. It won't fit in all the way if you do that. The scalloped rim on the ring must be up so the ring sits all the way on the bottom of the container and you will get a perfectly shaped burger that doesn't touch the sides of the container. A little twist as you lift either the press or the ring away from the meat will give you the best results.
The press does feel like it would break before is bends if you press to hard but as long as you aren't trying to press frozen meat it shouldn't require anywhere near enough pressure for breaking to be a concern.
I ordered for my daughter as I have a Tupperware press I have used for years. This one does not have the cup that fits on bottom of press. You can use the storage container cup or press patties onto wax or parchment paper. It is indeed not as sturdy as Tupperware but works ok.
I often don't read descriptions closely enough. This was one of those cases. I was looking for a press and containers for 1/2 lb. burgers. The description says "You can make burgers in various sizes and thicknesses. In general, a 2 oz burger is 3/8 inch thick. A 4 oz (“quarter pounder”) is inch thick. 6 oz makes a 1 1/8 inch thick burger and 8 oz (half pound) makes a 1 inch thick burger." Silly me thought that if the press could make it, the container could hold it. Not so, they definately can't hold an 8 oz burger.
